Today we took a slow boat up lake Garda to Malcesine. Once there we took the rotating cable car up to Monte Baldo. We found some cows standing knee deep in mud to get at a small drinking pond and watched one seemingly pull a muscle getting out.
The boat times only gave us a short time there, so after a bit of a scuffle with some German kids who tried pushing in front of us for the trip down (we tried to teach them some manors but failed and ended up elbowing them) we got back to the village for an ice cream and the return boat.
This takes a different route down the other side of the lake so we had a good cruise but we were getting cold so as we write this we’ve had pizzas and are considering a second ice cream before we leave Italy tomorrow.
PS from yesterday: we forgot to mention from Venice that the going rate for a gondola is €100 for half an hour. Those stripped t shirts must be expensive!
